September 22, 2026: Training and exercise with the "Immoos recovery and safety system"

Safety is the top priority at the Katrin cable car. Therefore, Managing Director Johannes Aldrian and Operations Manager Ralph Schug invited the mountain rescue service to a joint training exercise.

The Katrin cable car company and, above all, the mountain rescuers of the Bad Ischl branch have provided intensive training to their colleagues from Bad Goisern on the new "Immoos" cable car rescue system.

Exercise procedure:

- Handling of the new Immoos recovery system: Theory and practice

- Setting up the cableway

- Departure on the rope and rescue of persons from the cable car gondola

The emergency responders mastered the challenging rescue scenarios at high altitudes with flying colors, once again demonstrating their camaraderie and inter-station cooperation. This training evening resulted in six more BRD (German Red Cross) members being certified for the new rescue system and are therefore available for deployment should the need arise.
